Hybrid-Style Full Veterinary Behavior Consultation

Includes one virtual meeting (1hr) to:

-Assess history

-Discuss diagnosis and prognosis

-Make recommendations for environmental management and enrichment, behavior modification and training, and behavioral medication, if indicated

One follow up meeting (1hr) to:

-Follow up on previous changes

-Physically examine your pet

-Add behavior modification exercises

A written report specific to your situation, and 3 months of e-mail support.

Includes travel in most cases- some areas require travel fees

Includes the ability to send video of your pet’s behavior and/or your training sessions for our input

The Full DVM Consultation is $435.

Follow up sessions with the veterinarian are $200 per hour, or $150 per hour with a CAS trainer to help you implement the behavior plan.

Behavior Medication Consultation

Includes one virtual (30min), and in some cases, one in-person meeting (30min)

-Review of the veterinary records and behavior plan by the DVM prior to the appointment.

-Assess the use of behavioral medications in a pet already working a behavior modification plan from a qualified trainer.

Blood tests within the previous six months are required prior to the appointment.

The Behavioral Medication Consultation is $300.

Current Companion Animal Solutions clients working with one of our consulting trainers pay $190.

Follow up sessions with the veterinarian are $200 per hour.

Behavior Modification

Separate appointments are schedule for working on new behaviors or changing emotional reactions to stimuli. These appointment may include:

-Desensitizing your pet to a previously upsetting event

-Counter conditioning fearful things to build positive emotional responses

-Building a reliable alternative behavior to request when a problem behavior would previously occur

-Improving reliability of previously practiced behaviors

-Coaching your skills to give you the confidence to handle your pet in previously troublesome situations

The cost of a training session is $200 per hour or $500 for 3 hours when pre-paid.

Behavior assessments and follow-up training are coordinated through Companion Animal Solutions.
